You are right! In the past many “drill & Fill” companies just refilled the cartridges with toner and sent them back out. Dataproducts actually rebuilds the cartridges. They do their own engineering.

  • Complete disassembly and inspection of the empty cartridge.
  • Replacement of critical components
  • Replace the original seal with an OEM seal
  • Fill the hopper with toner to match the drum
  • Reassemble & test print with each cartridge

“Will it will void my printer warranty?”

It is against the law for a company to say that. HP even states in a letter that non-HP cartridges will not void their warranty. It is in the best interest of some service companies to say that because they want you to buy their products. Even so, Dataproducts warrants their cartridges such that if the cartridge causes a problem with your printer they will pay for service and repairs.
